Pandemic puts notaries to work

Notaries’ offices have never been busier since the start of the pandemic, with requests to revise wills skyrocketing, couples breaking up and the real estate market overheating.

“It’s a tsunami with a capital ‘T’. I’ve been a notary for 27 years and I’ve never experienced anything like this,” says Dominique Lettre, partner at Lettre & Brown, with offices in Longueuil and La Prairie.
